Charles J. Andres provides high quality legal services to his clients
at a reasonable price. As a solo practitioner, he can serve his clients
more quickly and economically than many lawyers with similar
backgrounds who practice in larger firms. He works with his clients
one-on-one and brings a personal touch to the practice of law that is
often lost at larger firms where clients are shuffled between several
attorneys. He is an experienced attorney and proactive problem solver
with a proven track record of successfully helping his clients.
Charles brings a valuable accounting and tax perspective to the
practice of law. He spent ten years working for several large
accounting firms and gained invaluable tax and accounting experience as
he counseled clients and prepared thousands of tax returns. In
addition to being an attorney and having passed the CPA exam, Charles
also holds an advanced degree in tax law, which he earned after intense
study of tax law and the I.R.S. Code’s intricacies. Charles’ unique
background provides his clients an interdisciplinary perspective that
many attorneys cannot offer, as he draws on his accounting and tax
knowledge to help his clients with their legal needs. To
help create value for his clients and effectively counsel them with the
latest legal and tax developments, Charles is an active writer and
speaker on various probate, will, trust, and estate planning issues.
He is the co-editor of the Kansas Bar Association’s probate law
handbook for attorneys, chairman of the Johnson County Bar
Association’s probate law section, an executive committee member of the
Kansas Bar Association’s real property, probate, and trust section, and
often answers questions for other lawyers on various points of law.
Charles knows that legal and tax issues can be very complicated and
confusing, so he strives to communicate legal, tax, and accounting
concepts in plain English to his clients, and used to teach a college
accounting class.
